The Fields of Mistria crop planner answers a specific farm question: which eligible crop can still mature in the time left, and what base profit would the selected number of tiles produce? The current tool accepts a season, 1 to 28 days remaining, and 1 to 999 crop tiles. It then ranks the matching crops by net profit after seed costs, using immediate replanting and base-quality sell values.
What the current crop data contains
The linked crop almanac contains 58 crop and forage records, of which 47 connect to museum entries and 28 have a regrow cycle. Each record can carry its season, first growth time, regrow interval, base sell value, seed name, museum set, location, and source. These totals describe the full crop catalog, while the profit planner ranks only records that also have a usable seed price and positive growth time.
That distinction explains why a season may show fewer planner results than the catalog count suggests. Fruit trees, forageables, and records without a standard purchased-seed price still belong in the crop reference, but they cannot enter the same seed-cost equation cleanly. The live planner therefore filters to comparable rows instead of assigning invented prices to every one of the 58 entries.
The crop almanac remains the better place to answer where an item comes from or which museum set needs it. The planner is better for deciding how to use a field during a limited number of days. Keeping those jobs separate prevents a museum count or forage location from being mistaken for profit data.
The verified profit calculation
For a crop that does not regrow, the planner divides the remaining days by the crop's growth time and keeps only complete cycles. It multiplies that harvest count by the number of tiles, then charges one purchased seed for each planted cycle. A crop that cannot finish its first growth cycle receives zero harvests and does not appear in the ranked result.
For a regrowing crop, the first harvest must fit inside the selected window. Every full regrow interval after that adds another harvest, while the seed count stays at one seed per tile because the same plant remains in the ground. This is why a regrowing crop can overtake a single-harvest crop during a long window even when their first harvest takes the same number of days.
The final calculation is straightforward. Gross revenue equals harvests multiplied by tiles and the base sell value, seed cost equals required seeds multiplied by the listed seed price, and net profit equals gross revenue minus seed cost. The ranking does not count crop quality, perks, fertilizer, processing, bonus harvests, or the opportunity cost of watering and stamina.

These results assume every harvest happens on time and every harvested single-cycle crop is replanted immediately. Leaving a mature crop unharvested for a day can reduce the number of cycles that fit, especially for Turnip and other short crops. A smaller field changes the totals proportionally, but the ranking can also change when a different window removes one crop's final harvest.
How days remaining change the answer
Use the number of usable growing days rather than the date printed on the calendar alone. If planting and watering happen today, the selected window should reflect the days the crop can actually advance before the season changes. The planner accepts up to 28 days because one Fields of Mistria season contains 28 calendar days.
Short windows favor crops whose first harvest still fits. A regrowing crop loses much of its advantage if only the first harvest can mature, while a fast single-cycle crop may still complete several replants. Enter the real remaining window each time instead of carrying the first-day ranking through the whole season.
The planner also supports all-season viewing, but a farm decision still needs the season filter because seed availability and growth compatibility matter. Use the all-season view to compare crop structures, then return to the current season before treating the result as a planting plan. This avoids ranking a high-profit crop that cannot grow in the selected part of the year.
What net profit leaves out
The net column is a base comparison, not a promise of the final money deposited after a season. Higher-quality produce, perks, fertilizer, processing, and bonus harvests can raise the outcome, while missed watering or late harvesting can lower it. The current model deliberately leaves those effects out so every eligible crop is compared on the same purchased-seed baseline.
Processing can change both value and timing, and it may use machines or ingredients needed elsewhere. A crop that ranks lower in raw sales may still be valuable for recipes, requests, gifts, or museum completion. Use the profit ranking to answer a cash-planning question, then check the crop guide before selling an item that serves a rarer purpose.
Seed availability is another practical limit. The calculator uses its verified seed prices, but the player still needs access to the relevant source and enough starting money to plant the chosen number of tiles. A result with the largest net total can demand a larger up-front seed purchase than a lower-ranked option.
A reliable planning routine
Start by selecting the current season and entering the real number of days remaining. Set the field size to the number of tiles you can water consistently, then compare net profit, first harvest time, and required seed cost together. Open the crop almanac for museum status and acquisition details before committing every tile to one result.
Recalculate after the first harvest or whenever the remaining field changes. The useful crop near the start of a season may no longer fit after a late upgrade, a missed watering day, or a shift toward requests and museum sets. A fresh calculation turns the planner into a day-specific decision instead of a permanent tier list.
