The current Fields of Mistria gift guide covers 34 villagers and separates every recommendation by preference. Use the interactive finder above when you know the recipient, or switch to item search when you only know what is in your bag. The reference notes below keep the friendship rules, point values, and version boundaries readable beside the tool.
What the verified finder covers
The roster contains Adeline, Balor, Caldarus, Celine, Darcy, Dell, Dozy, Eiland, Elsie, Errol, Hayden, Hemlock, Henrietta, Holt, Josephine, Juniper, and Landen. It continues with Louis, Luc, Maple, March, Merri, Nora, Olric, Reina, Ryis, Seridia, Stillwell, Taliferro, Terithia, Valen, Vera, Wheedle, and Zorel. These 34 names are visible in the current villager selector, so the earlier incomplete-roster note no longer applies.
The villager view displays Loved, Liked, and Most Hated gifts for the selected recipient. The item view searches the Loved and Liked lists, then returns the villagers who match the item and labels the strength of each match. This makes the reverse search useful when storage is full and the player wants to turn one item into a good gift without checking 34 separate pages.
The finder does not treat every inventory object as a recommendation. A result appears when the item is present in a villager's Loved or Liked list, while Hated entries remain visible on the villager page as warnings. If an item search returns no result, the safe reading is that the current recommendation dataset has no Loved or Liked match for that exact name.
Friendship points in v1.0.2
The current data sets the relationship cap at 10 hearts and awards 7 friendship points for a conversation. A birthday adds 20 points to the normal value of a gift, which explains why every birthday number in the table is exactly 20 points higher. The gift response still matters because Loved, Liked, Neutral, Disliked, and Hated items begin from different normal values.
| Preference | Normal gift | Birthday gift |
|---|---|---|
| Loved | 20 points | 40 points |
| Liked | 10 points | 30 points |
| Neutral | 3 points | 23 points |
| Disliked | 0 points | 20 points |
| Hated | 0 points | 20 points |
Birthday timing can make an easy Liked item worth more than a normal-day Loved item, so calendar planning matters. A hated birthday gift still receives the birthday bonus in the current point table, but it gives fewer points than any recommended birthday gift. For practical play, save a Loved item when it is convenient and use a reliable Liked item when the rarer option would disrupt crafting, museum, or upgrade plans.
Heart thresholds and relationship progress
The point totals below are cumulative thresholds in the current v1.0.2 relationship data. Heart events appear at even-numbered stages through 8 hearts, while the 1.0 release raises romanceable NPCs to 10 hearts and adds proposal and wedding progress. A player does not need to guess whether a bar is close to the next heart when these totals are used as the reference.
| Hearts | Total points | Relationship milestone recorded in the current data |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 80 | First heart reached |
| 2 | 180 | First heart event |
| 3 | 280 | Friendship progress |
| 4 | 390 | Second heart event, birthday letters, and festival invitations |
| 5 | 530 | Friendship progress |
| 6 | 705 | Third heart event |
| 7 | 900 | Friendship progress |
| 8 | 1,125 | Fourth heart event and confession route |
| 9 | 1,400 | Dating progress |
| 10 | 1,755 | Proposal route |
These thresholds explain why talking still helps even when the player has no suitable gift. Conversations add steady progress, while a Loved gift accelerates the same bar and a birthday multiplies the value of planning ahead. Character pages should still be used for event locations and route-specific choices because the gift finder answers item preference questions rather than event navigation.
Adeline's complete recommendation example
Adeline's current record contains 10 Loved gifts, 20 Liked gifts, and one Most Hated item. The live finder therefore shows 30 recommended gifts for her because that total combines the Loved and Liked groups. The list below matches the current v1.0.2 finder rather than the older partial material originally supplied for this page.
| Preference | Verified items |
|---|---|
| Loved | Coffee, Gazpacho, Lemon Pie, Middlemist, Mistril Ingot, Peaches and Cream, Perfect Pink Diamond, Plum Blossom, Pumpkin Pie, Tea with Lemon |
| Liked | Candied Lemon Peel, Diamond, Heather, Lemon, Lemon Cake, Lemonade, Mistril Ore, Paper, Peach, Pineshroom Toast, Pink Diamond, Pumpkin Stew, Red Wine, Snapdragon, Spicy Cheddar Biscuit, Tulip, Vegetable Soup, White Wine, Wild Berry Pie, Wild Berry Scone |
| Most Hated | Morel Mushroom |
Several Adeline options overlap with normal farming, cooking, mining, and forage routes. A common Liked item can be the better daily choice when a Loved item is needed for a recipe or a museum set, because friendship progress does not require sacrificing every rare resource. Morel Mushroom is the clear item to avoid when the goal is relationship progress.
How to use the reverse search
Switch from the villager tab to the item tab above, then type the in-game English item name. The results group matching villagers under the item and label each person as Loved, Liked, or Hated, which is more precise than choosing a recipient from memory. Search with the exact item name when two objects have similar wording, especially gems, cooked dishes, flowers, and processed materials.
Use the character pages after choosing a recipient because a good gift does not guarantee that the next heart event is currently available. Event progress can also depend on earlier scenes, relationship status, location, or story access. The gift result solves the inventory question, while the romance and character guides handle those route conditions.
Version and source boundaries
NPC Studio's official v1.0 material confirms the 10-heart cap, proposals, weddings, marriage, and children for romanceable NPCs. The official v1.0.2 notes establish the patch snapshot used for this verification, and the current Mistria Guide finder labels its relationship data as v1.0.2 game-file data. Future patches can change preferences or progression, so the visible version and verification date should travel with copied gift lists.
This page publishes exact values only where the current source exposes them. It does not add gift names from memory, merge old eight-heart tables into the 1.0 system, or invent character event triggers. That keeps every recommendation tied to the same version instead of mixing Early Access facts with the released game.
